The music that accompanies the project Level Eleven was to grow out of the flow of life itself. I asked myself
what this kind of approachmight lead to.
I was often confronted with my own limitations because my mind demanded that I should plan everything in
advance. Then I would go the shores of the river Reuss and the energy started to flow back frommy mind into
my heart. Thus my desire was fulfilled to create everything in the flow of life.
Somemusicians have indeed joined the project while others have left.
The same applied to the planning of the recording sessions in Schaffhausen. Since we couldn’t find a guitarist
my mind demanded that I should postpone the session. But because I trusted the flow a guitarist appeared at
the last moment. Without planning or rehearsing we were able to record five tracks with different people in a
very short space of time.
The same was true in regard to Matthias Heimlicher. I always wanted to plan ahead and have a say but even-
tually I learned to let go of mymind and trust the flow.
One day Matthias told me he wanted to go to Pretoria in South Africa to do a recording session with a friend.
He asked me if I was interested to record with an orchestra. The idea resonated well with me. Franziska was
very excited too and encouragedme to go ahead with this adventure.
During the course of this project I was joined by wonderful people who contributed their musical skills and cre-
ativity to Level Eleven. The flow of lifemade countless moments full of precious encounters possible.
I am very grateful for those precious experiences. It was a unique
experiment in trusting the flow of life and I succeeded in planning
only the bare necessities.
